Johlfs Wealth Management — recognized by Forbes and the Denver Business Journal — approached Dispatch Design Studio during a pivotal moment of growth. With new investment portfolios launching, they needed more than a designer — they needed a strategic partner to align branding with financial clarity. Our work together has spanned brand design, advertising, infographic flow, and campaign strategy.

At the core was a portfolio identity system for JWM’s four investment vehicles: Prospector, Explorer, Voyager, and Expedition. Each had its own character and risk profile, and design played a crucial role in making those distinctions tangible. We created badge-style identities rooted in metaphors of exploration, legacy, boldness, and local pride — turning visual storytelling into strategic communication.

The Expedition Portfolio campaign was a pivotal moment for visual direction, leading us to adopt a gold rush metaphor — symbolizing renewal, shared growth, and Colorado-first investing. I delivered a full magazine ad, messaging hierarchy, and campaign visuals that have set a standard for future campaigns.

Beyond campaigns, we evolved JWM’s responsive logo set, brand pattern system, and supporting icons. One standout is the golden circle pattern — used across digital tools and collateral. More than decoration, it acts as a topographic language to communicate themes like “mutual growth” and “crossroads of skillsets.”

Those visual assets supported the overhaul of JWM’s Seller Documents, used to onboard retiring financial advisors. The documents were restructured for clarity, tone, and trust — becoming tools of persuasion and reassurance rather than just paperwork.

JWM isn’t just a client — they’re a case study in how smart design supports trust and clarity. Every layout, badge, and sentence was built around user experience. We weren’t decorating — we were communicating.
