Alexander Dryden came to Dispatch as a scholar, strategist, and storyteller. With over a decade of experience as a Global Investment Strategist at J.P. Morgan, and now a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Sustainable Finance, Alex needed a brand identity that could match his presence — not just in research circles, but on international stages like CNBC and Bloomberg.

His work breaks down complex financial ideas with narrative clarity and calm authority. Our goal was to deliver a brand that did the same — something that carried weight, felt refined, and could hold its own in both research and media circles.

The challenge was designing a system that felt both classical and modern — rooted in deep expertise but adaptable across modern platforms. We drew from the visual language of early literary storytelling and blockprinting — textures and marks that quietly referenced legacy, insight, and craft.

For a breadth of applications, the brand needed to communicate clarity, rhythm, and trust — without overwhelming the message.

We built:

  • A responsive logo system with vertical, horizontal, and watermark variations

  • Custom type pairings and a versatile color palette for professional media use

  • Stationery and business card designs with formal elegance

  • A visual rhythm built to carry longform ideas, charts, and written insights
